Best Place to Work Awards

The Worthy Wage Campaign inaugurated its annual “Early Childhood Program Best Place to Work” awards in the spring of 2002 at our fundraising Chocolate Extravaganza.  Our goal was to highlight programs that recognize the importance of a quality work environment for staff as well as quality programming for children, and to encourage work environment excellence.  The awards are based on the Model Work Standards developed by the Center for the Child Care Workforce.

To apply for a Best Place to Work Award, download the application form and Model Work Standards Grid (center or family) and submit completed application by February 28, 2008. This year's winning program will be recognized during the Saturday plenary session at DVAEYC's annual conference, April 12, 2008.

The following programs have received the DVAEYC “Early Childhood Best Place to Work” Award:
  • The Caring Center
  • Children’s Village, Doylestown Hospital
  • Children’s Village
  • Parent Infant Center
  • Building Blocks, La Salle University
