DVAEYC’s Board of Directors has selected Alba E. Martinez, as our 2008
recipient of the Champion for Young Children Award. The award will be
presented on Wednesday, December 3, 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Harrah’s Chester
Casino & Racetrack in Delaware County.
DVAEYC presents this award to a local leader who has raised the
visibility and improved the quality of early childhood education in our
region.
Alba Martinez is the perennial “Champion for Young Children”. Whether it is
her work on early childhood education or foster care or provision of
bi-lingual/bi-cultural family services, she is laser-focused on the needs of
children and families in the region and state. We hope you will consider
placing a tribute to Alba in our program book, “Book of Champions for Young
Children” this year. This provides you a wonderful opportunity to receive
recognition as an advocate of “quality” and at the same time support the
work of DVAEYC.
