About Us

DVAEYC offers affordable technology services to child care programs to help them integrate technology into the curriculum in appropriate ways, utilize the Internet for teacher education and planning, and harness the power of technology for business purposes. DVAEYC also sponsors a GIS mapping project that identifies the location and general information about human service organizations throughout the region – Connect Services. Despite the proven benefits of using computers in the classroom and to improve administrative tasks, many early childhood professionals still lack access to basic technological resources. DCS is bringing those resources to the fingertips of providers and educators in our region.

CONNECT Services has up-to-date information on health and human service agencies in Philadelphia County and can give you the information you need quickly and accurately. Connect provides a comprehensive listing of services to assist parents as well as social services providers with identifying services for youth and adults.  Users can identify services by county, address, zip code or neighborhood. Additional resources for employment, child care and health are provided as well. Connect currently has data for five counties in the Philadelphia region – Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia. The system is designed to eventually include data from four New Jersey counties as well: Camden, Burlington, Gloucester and Mercer.
