What is the Week of the Young Child?
The Week of the Young
Child, sponsored by the National Association for the Education of
Young Children (NAEYC), is a week long celebration and recognition
of the importance of early care and education.. The purpose of
the WOYC is to focus public attention on the needs of young children
and their families and to support the early childhood programs and
services that meet those needs.
When is the
Week of the Young Child?

In 2009, Week of the Young Child will be April 19-25
